What Is Low Testosterone (Low T)?

Testosterone naturally declines starting around age 30—typically about 10% per decade.

For some men, this drop is more rapid or begins earlier, leading to symptoms that can significantly impact daily life.

When testosterone falls below an optimal level, the body and mind feel the effects.

Many men assume these symptoms are “normal aging” or “just stress.”

However, low testosterone is often overlooked and untreated—even though it is highly manageable.

How serious is Low T?

Low testosterone can have a meaningful impact on your daily life and long-term health. It can affect your mood, motivation, mental clarity, sexual function, metabolism, and ability to maintain muscle or manage weight. Over time, low T may also contribute to increased cardiovascular risk, insulin resistance or diabetes, and reduced bone density. Many men struggle with fatigue, low drive, or unwanted physical changes without realizing that a simple hormonal imbalance may be the root cause—and that effective treatment is available.

How we are different

We go far beyond simply prescribing testosterone based on a lab number.

When considering testosterone replacement, there are various factors that need to be taken into account for best results.

We evaluate the hormones that influence testosterone function, including:

  • Insulin

  • Thyroid

  • Estrogen

  • Cortisol

  • Dihydrotestosterone (DHT)

  • DHEA

To fully understand your metabolic and hormonal health, we may also assess:

  • Advanced cardiovascular markers

  • Vitamin & mineral levels

  • Inflammation markers

  • Gut and digestive function

  • Environmental toxin exposure

We also address lifestyle habits including personalized nutrition, strength-based exercise guidance,  and stress management strategies to get the best results.

pattern design

The ADAM (Androgen Deficiency in Aging Males) questionnaire consists of 10 questions that help determine if a male patient suffers from androgen deficiency (low testosterone) and whether or not further testing and follow-up are needed.   This calculator will indicate your total score, responses to each of the questions, and whether or not further consultation with a medical provider is recommended.

If you Answer Yes to number 1 or 7 or if you answer Yes to more than 3 questions, you may have low Testosterone.

This questionnaire can help you understand if you are at risk for Low T.
